Hormone health

What to know
Many people keep working, leading, parenting, caregiving, and serving while running on broken sleep. Strength can hide the cost for a while. It should not keep you from being heard.
Start with the symptoms that affect your life
Tell your clinician what is happening, how often it occurs, and what it interrupts. A useful visit may cover menstrual history, medications, contraception, sexual health, sleep, mood, family history, cardiovascular risk, bone health, and cancer history.
Treatment is broader than one prescription
Options depend on the symptom and your health history. They may include lifestyle changes, nonhormonal medications, vaginal therapies, or systemic hormone therapy. Hormone therapy is highly effective for hot flashes and night sweats for many eligible people, and local vaginal estrogen may help certain genitourinary symptoms. Each option has its own benefits, risks, and monitoring needs.
Hormone therapy should not be promised as a reliable weight-loss treatment or a universal solution for every concern. Weight, energy, sleep, and mood can be influenced by several overlapping factors.
A better consultation gives you language
You should leave knowing what may be happening, which choices are reasonable, why a recommendation fits, and when to follow up. If the answer is still uncertain, you should know what will help clarify it.
At IDARA Truforme, we take the symptom seriously and the person even more seriously. Care should help you regain capacity for the life already asking so much of you.
